Good Afternoon CFTP,Another great week put in at The Point. I want to thank you all for the hard work and dedication you have shown. I also want to thank those of you who have decided to join our WODsomniac teams. If you have not gotten registered then be sure to be in contact with your team captain and get registered before the first of August. The price jumps up $100 per team after that. I can't wait to compete along side all of you. There are still individuals who are looking for a team. So if you are in that boat please contact me so I can find a team for you ASAP.This week is the final week of the Nutrition Challenge. I hope you all have enjoyed it thus far. The bod pod sign up sheets will be on the desk just like last time. The Bod Pod people will be here on Monday, the 4th of August. Can't wait to see your improvement. We have some great news! JoAnn McArthur is now officially our PR person for the gym. If you have any ideas on activities or anything you would like to do as a gym please contact her and she will work with you to get it done. If you have any questions about upcoming trips/activities then JoAnn is the woman to talk to. Can't wait to have her as part of our team and I hope that this will give us a chance to plan more activities and to get to know each other a little more. Also, she will be putting together member profiles and trainer profiles so she may find you and ask you to share your CrossFit journey with us. Her email is email@example.com.The finals of the CrossFit Games are going on now and will continue through the evening. If you have not been watching them now is your chance. Don't miss the final event which will be on ESPN tonight.I can't wait to see you all in the gym this upcoming week. Please let me know if you need anything whatsoever.Coach DanHere is Amy's Nutrition challenge email for those of you who have not checked your emails...Wahooo! This is the last week of the challenge! :)
Attached is the scorecard through the 20th of July. Please, please let me know if you have any changes to your numbers if you have been out of town and haven't updated your stickers (or written stars). I made all the changes requested that I received for the first 2 weeks. There are about 8 people that have been perfect so far and are in the running for the "most points prize". This is a make-or-break week...and we may need to come up with a tie breaker! Remember you will have to show your food logs if you win the most points prize (online program, phone app, weekly meal plan, or written journal - whatever you have been using).
The Bod Pod will be back on August 4th for you to see how you've progressed over the last 6 weeks. Dan has all the info and sign-ups for that. Make sure you have your first Bod Pod results to compare to for your own personal reference but also to show Dan if you are going for the most fat loss prize :)
Dan is also in charge of the second round of the benchmark WOD. More details from him on that.
Since we went a little overboard on the double unders for the extra challenge last week, we decided to do another nutrition focused challenge for our final week. So... for this week's extra challenge, you must follow The Zone. This challenge was in part a Zone challenge, though we allowed any food/plan as long as you logged what you ate for your points. We have emailed 3 plans in previous emails - 11 block, 14 block, and 17 block - and I attached them again to this email so you have a ready reference. You may follow these plans or you may create your own if you've been doing Zone all along. You can still have your favorite cookies (which makes this weeks challenge a little easier than the no sugar challenge earlier) - just make sure they are blocked! HA! If you have any questions, please contact me and I will help you. Go grocery shopping today or tomorrow so you are ready to start on Monday with eating Zone.
Have a great week!
