Coach Dan's Sunday Spotlight 1.21.2018

Good Evening CFTP,Late post...Been a bit under the weather.I've been pondering a lot about how lucky we are to have the bodies we do. I have also been thinking a lot about how we take care of our bodies. We all only have one body and it is our responsibility to take care of it.What does this mean? Of course, it means getting in the physical activity that you all do day in and day out at the box. It means challenging your body so that it can reach it's potential. It means to keep your body moving even as we get older. It means that we never settle and that we always put forth 100 percent effort.It also means that when you get done pushing your body to those limits, that you take care of your body. It means that you take the extra 5-10 minutes at the end of class to roll out sore muscles and to stretch out shoulders. It means we make a better effort to get to class on time so that our bodies are warmed up and ready for the day's activities. It means that we listen to our bodies and when it says to slow down or to do less weight, we listen. It means we listen to our trainers and try our best to adjust our form so that we stay safe.It also means that we take care to put good food into our bodies. Since the beginning of the year I have adjusted my whole diet and have been feeding my body the correct foods and I have felt a huge difference in not only my performance but my energy throughout the day. If we expect a great performance out of our bodies then we have to put in the correct fuel. We need to drink plenty of water every day. We need to learn about what our bodies need in order for peak performance.We all have only one body, let's take care of it.Love you all!
