Good Evening CFTP,I know I have mentioned this to many of you but I want to express my astonishment on the improvement of all of you as athletes. This second edition of the Lockdown has been amazing. The improvement of all of you as athletes from 7 months ago is really impressive. This go around we didn't hold any punches back and threw some really tough wods at you. We challenged you with highly technical movements along with some heavy lifting. Every division surpassed my expectations.When creating WODs we always predict just how long it will take or just how much weight would be lifted and week in and week out you all murdered our predictions. I know we threw a few curve balls at you and you all handled them quite well... As the weeks went on you all got stronger.In addition to the amazing performance in the WODs a vast majority of you were on point in your nutrition challenge. We didn't make that easy either but yet there you were holding strong. For those of you who followed the plan I know you have seen improvement in both the way you feel and the way you look. Don't let this just be a 4 week anomaly of healthy eating. Take what you learned this past month and continue to implement it into your daily lives.So now... The moment many of you have been waiting for. It was a tight race to the end. Here is a reminder of what the top teams are going to receive. Also want to give a shout out to Amy Robinson for the clean eating portion of this challenge.The biggest thing that this competition did in my opinion is it brought us all closer together. We are already like a family but I loved how this competition has brought together the AM and PM peeps and I love how much everyone cared for the other teams. I am so impressed with how freely everyone gave advice and taught their opponents different tricks to perform better. There was no malice and only friendly competition.Thank you all for joining us on the throw downs. I am so grateful for all of you and can't wait to get back to work tomorrow. Now that this competition is over I want you all to think back and remember what you have learned about yourself. Take a moment and write down what the last month has taught you and also what you need to work on. Did you struggle on a certain movement? Trust me... it won't be the last time you see that movement. Work on your weaknesses and build on your strengths. Did you get your first muscle up? Pullup? Pistol? DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE GAINED! Just because you did it once in a competition doesn't mean you have mastered it. Continue to work on your new technique. Continue to ask questions and learn how to be more efficient. When it is programmed in a WOD... DO IT! Don't modify because you want to be "fast". The only way we get better is if we work on our weaknesses and practice what we learn.I look forward to the upcoming weeks.
