Good Morning CFTP,First off, winter is upon us, which means illness is about to happen all around! I want to mention a couple of things to help prevent the gym being a place where we not only share each other's PRs but also each other's germs.SicknessIf your kid has a runny nose or fever, please don't bring them to the gym. All it takes is one kid with the sniffles and all of the sudden the whole gym is sick.If you are sick, it will be better for you to take a day or two off so you can recover rather than trying to come in and push through it. It's amazing how quickly sicknesses spread in a gym.SanitizationCrossFit The Point will be providing Clorox wipes (or if you want to donate a container that would be awesome) to use on equipment you use. This is something we should always be doing but I want you all to make a more concerted effort to use these wipes to wipe down your barbells, dumbbells, ab mats, pull-up bars, wall balls, rowers, bikes or anything else you used. Just takes a quick couple of minutes after class before putting everything away to wipe it down.We have amazing cleaners at the gym but it will go a long ways if we all do our part in keeping the equipment we use each day clean.Thanksgiving Week ScheduleWe will be keeping Monday through Wednesday full days this week. On Thursday and Friday we will do 7, 8, and 9 AM hours only. Saturday will remain 8, 9 and 10 AM Open Gym.Twas' The WOD Before Christmas 4 VolunteersEverything is set for this upcoming December 8th Competition! We have 28 gyms from all around the area and 140 athletes! All we need now is to fill our volunteer staff. Please shoot me an email if you think you might be available to help out on Saturday the 8th of December. We will be starting at 6 AM and will go till roughly 5 PM. We will be giving out free long sleeve shirts to the volunteers and free lunch! If you are available at all during the 8th, please let me know.With this season of Thanksgiving it gets me thinking about how grateful I am for all of you. I started CrossFit The Point almost 7 years ago and would have never guessed that it would grow into what it has grown into today. We are so lucky to have such an amazing community of people at The Point. You all are the best people I know and I love being able to watch you not only get fitter and healthier but also watch your families grow up and watch you in your jobs, family and all around lives progress.It is really cool to be able to not only witness your greatness and progress but to also be a part of it. I am truly lucky and I want to thank you all for your trust in us and our training team to help you achieve your fitness and life goals.Coach Dan
