Coach Dan's Sunday Spotlight 12.20.2015

Good morning CFTP,How are all of you Beast moders feeling?! Loved throwing down with you all at the 12 Days of Christmas Beast Mode last night. Those who couldn't make it were missed! Before beast mode I had a chance to sit down with my training team. During this meeting our subject was how to serve you all better. I just want you all to know that your trainers care about you and all want to see you succeed. They came in on a Saturday night to sit down and discuss strategies on how we can make you all better athletes and to make your standard of life better. It's always on our minds and we are always trying to improve.As we were talking last night a subject came up and I thought I might try and explain it through a few pictures... What do all of these have in common?




Besides the obvious fact that they are filled with the most awesome people around... These pictures accurately display what we have at The Point. We are all part of a community of friends who are there for each other through thick and thin. We fight for each other at the box and outside the box. These people have become our very best friends.

With that being said... What better way to show our support for one another than to cheer for one another? Every day you all come into The Point and push yourself to the max. Sometimes you finish first and sometimes you finish last. Some days we need the extra push... Some days the weight feels heavy or the movements are hard and we need that extra motivation that we receive from our friends.

There is no better feeling than to have someone in your corner as you finish those last few reps. On the other side of things... Nothing is more depressing than to be working your heart out to finish and everyone around you is cleaning up their weights, chit chatting in the corner and heading out the door before you even finish. What's an extra 5 minutes? If you finish and you're writhing on the floor in pain, look around and cheer for your neighbor. You could be the difference between that person finishing or not. Don't be that guy or gal who feels they need speed out as soon as you finish. On the fitness side of things you need to cool down before you take off anyways. Use the time as you are cheering to do some mobility or jump on the bike and cool down. We started the WOD together... Let's finish the WOD together.

At one point or another we all will need that extra push. Be that buddy who is always there positively influencing your friends.
