Good Evening CFTP,
First of all congratulations to all those who competed at The Battle Forged Throwdown yesterday! It was so much fun watching you all compete. We had some big hitters take this on and you all did not disappoint. Huge congratulations to Coach JoAnn! She took 1st!!! This was Marianne's first individual competition and she placed herself 5th or 6th (The official rankings have not been released). So proud of her taking on this challenge against some very strong ladies.
The men Coach Nate, Coach Navarro, Danny Reeder, Coach Dave, and Nate McArthur all placed extremely well! 4th, 6th, 8th, and 9th respectively. Not sure of Nate McArthur because they didn't release the rankings but he was 11th going into the final WOD. Out of 30 people to all be in the top ten is extremely impressive.
Regardless of where these ladies and gentlemen finished I was so freaking proud of what they accomplished. Everyday these peeps put in hour after hour of hard work at the gym. They focus on strengthening weaknesses and bolster up their strengths. They went out on Saturday and they put their best foot forward and did amazing work. Nothing pleases me more than to see our athletes step up and put their work to the test. Competing is the best way I have seen to discover weaknesses and it's also the best way to create the most amazing memories. Congratulations. Can't wait to see how you do in the next competition!
This week we are going to try something a little different... This week is Partner Week! Everyday the WOD will be a WOD you will complete with a partner. So get thinking about who in your class you want to team up with.
