These turned out amazingly.Finally, I have been thinking a lot about the journey we go through as athletes and I think it is comparable to the start of The Point. With many of you newbies coming in you will notice how we as trainers will ease you into things. There are so many movements and so much to learn as a new CrossFitter. The key is consistency. This is the reason I give the three month deal out. If you only come for a month you never get into what CrossFit The Point is really about. The first month you are just muddling through the workouts trying to survive. By month two and three, if you have been consistently coming in, you begin to see changes in your body and in your mental game. You begin to understand why we do what we do. There begins to be a competitive fire within that pushes you to want to be better.The reason I say it is the same as to when I started CrossFit The Point is because it is a process. If someone threw me into what CrossFit The Point is today, as the owner/manager, I would drown. It would be overwhelming. I had to grow as an owner just as you all are growing as athletes. You've got to ease yourself into what it means to be a CrossFitter. You've got to get used to the daily soreness. The daily frustration that is followed by the daily excitement. The mental toughness builds over time. You are able to push yourself a little harder each day. The more you work to learn and to follow the advice and coaching of the coaches the faster you will progress.I want all of you newbies and CFTP veterans to take a look at how far you have come in the time you have been at The Point. I want you to be proud of your progress.... Done?Ok,now, I want you to set goals for what you plan to achieve in the next 3 months. Have goals in mind. Work towards those goals. Share those goals with me, my coaches, and your friends at The Point. This is a community that wants you to succeed. We want you to achieve your goals. Make the goals achievable. Make goals that you have control over. With your hard work and the support of the members at The Point I know you will succeed.Finally, THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! We are having our CFTP BBQ this Friday night at 6:30 PM at Draper City Park! You all are invited. For those of you who referred people, make sure you let your friends know about this BBQ. It's time to get the whole crew together. Morning and Evening crew. We need you all there. It's time to update our family photo! So please come. If you could, please bring a side to share.
